A password should be easy to remember but difficult to guess.
One way to generate a strong password:
- Start with a sentence or phrase. For example, "We have nothing to fear but fear itself"
- Take the first letter of each word in the phrase "Whntfbfi"
- Change a couple of the letters to numbers "Whntf6f1"
After you have created a strong password: *Don't share your password with anyone. SLU will never ask for your password.
*Don't write your password anywhere. If you forget your password, it can be reset by calling the IT Service Desk at 314-977-4000. Please do not write it down for reference.
