This certificate prepares students for a wide range of career levels in information technology and more specifically the security field. Topics include Information Security Essentials, Security Architecture and Design, Hacking, Incident Response, Forensics and Application Security. Elective classes offer students preparation for industry wide vendor-neutral certifications including Security+, and Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP). It is suggested that you complete the core classes in the order listed below. Electives can be taken in any order, although most require one or more prerequisites.
