Registration and Advising
Each student in our college has an academic advisor and a faculty mentor to help plan their academic career at the university and to help outline professional career opportunities.
Precommencement and Commencement Ceremony
Precommencement will be held on Thursday May 17th, 2012. Processional and Ceremony at 2 p.m. in the Chaifetz Arena. Reception immediately following at the Marvin and Harlene Wool Ballroom in Busch Student Center. Students will be conferred as graduates at the Saturday May, 19, 2012 Commencement Ceremony but will not be individually recongized.
All graduates should arrive at the Chaifetz Arena no later than 1 p.m. Graduates MUST robe at the Chaifetz Arena. The commencement ceremony lasts approximately an hour and a half.
Cap and Gown
All faculty attending the Precommencement Ceremony are asked to wear academic regalia. Contact Lisa Lee at the Saint Louis University Bookstore at (314) 531-7925.
No tickets are required for the ceremony or reception but students MUST RSVP. If you have commencement related questions please call (314) 977-3728 or visit the Precommencement Website.
Criminal Background Checks:
Some majors require criminal background checks and/or drug screenings. Consult with your advisor to determine if your major is covered by this requirement. Certain convictions or drug test results may preclude practicing in certain public service professions.
