The ONE Series: Opportunities for Networking Experiences
Designed to provide opportunities for multidisciplinary collaborations within the SLU research and scholarly community, these informal gatherings serve as forums for open discussion on topics that may be of interest to researchers from a variety of disciplines. Funders are increasingly interested in supporting projects that propose to examine a topic from a variety of perspectives. The formation of interest groups around topical areas can expand funding opportunities as well as invigorate and inspire new directions in research.
Jeremiah Weinstock, Ph.D., from the department of Psychology, will kick off a discussion on substance use disorders, one of the most costly medical/mental health problems facing our nation. This program will cover issues such as treatment, prevention and the burden of this psychiatric disorder upon society.Substance Abuse/Prevention
