Devin Johnston, Ph.D.
Devin Johnston was raised in North Carolina and went to school in Ohio and Chicago. He has published three books of poetry, a book of essays on the natural world, and a critical study of the occult in contemporary American poetry. His latest book, Creaturely and Other Essays, was one of the 18 picks for the London Review of Books Bookshop Spring Selection 2010, with wonderful endorsements of its "prose of... startling beauty" and "keen sense of the strangeness of the other beings that share our planet." With Michael O'Leary, he directs Flood Editions (www.floodeditions.com), a nonprofit publishing house for poetry, short fiction, and art.
