PT/AT Chair Earns Lifetime Excellence in Education Award
Mark Reinking, Ph.D., was recognized by the American Physical Therapy Association for his long-term contributions to the profession.Mark Reinking, Ph.D., chair of the of physical therapy and athletic training programs and associate professor of physical therapy, has been awarded the Lifetime Excellence in Education Award by the American Physical Therapy Association.
The purpose of this prestigious award is to acknowledge an individual who has made significant contributions in the area of sports physical therapy education through excellence in academic teaching clinical education and professional development over ten years.
Reinking was given the award in recognition of his long-term contributions to the profession and the section.
"I am honored and humbled by this award from the Sports PT Section of the APTA," Reinking said. "Through my journey in education, I have learned much from my students and fellow faculty and I dedicate this award to their influence in my life."
The award was presented at the Sports Physical Therapy Section Awards event during the American Physical Therapy Association Combined Sections Meeting on Feb. 5 in Las Vegas.
