Teaching: Dr. Moore has been teaching since 1997 in undergraduate courses covering topics such as Adult Medical Surgical content, Foundational skills, Cardio-pulmonary content as well as providing clinical supervision on various nursing units. Dr. Moore has also lectured in an Adult Nurse Practitioner program focusing on musculoskeletal topics and occupational health. Over the past eleven years she has additionally served as a preceptor for multiple nurse practitioner students.
Practice: Dr. Moore practices as an Adult Nurse Practitioner in an occupational health clinic. Her practice environment allows her to see patients with a variety of needs which range from chemical exposures, eye injuries, musculoskeletal injuries, lacerations, as well as OSHA and DOT regulation specific physical examinations. She has also worked as a nurse in oncology, acute medicine, and pediatric and adult hospice.
Professional and Scholarly Activities: Dr. Moore is a member of several state and national nursing organizations including Sigma Theta Tau, American Nurses Association, National Organization of Nurse Practitioner Faculty, National League of Nursing, and the American Society of Pain Management Nursing. Additionally Dr. Moore is an affiliate member of the American College of Occupational and Environmental Medicine. Dr. Moore also serves on the board and is very active in a local non-profit organization dedicated to repair and rehabilitation of housing for low income homeowners within our city known as St. Louis World Changers.
