Teaching: Dr. McLaughlin teaches in the accelerated nursing options. Her primary teaching assignments include adult medicine theory and clinical instruction. Prior teaching experiences include adult medicine theory and clinical instruction at the former Jewish Hospital School of Nursing.
Practice: Dr. McLaughlin practiced oncology nursing for 20 years. Her experiences included bone marrow transplant, radiation oncology and outpatient chemotherapy administration. She has also practiced private duty home care for the past 7 years, which she maintains one day per week.
Research: Dr. McLaughlin completed her doctoral dissertation in the area of taste dysfunction in head and neck cancer survivors.
Professional and Scholarly Activities: Dr. McLaughlin is a member of Sigma Theta Tau International.
