The staff of Cardinal Glennon Children's Medical Center's Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU)
SLUCare's pediatric critical care physicians provide advanced care at SSM Cardinal Glennon Children's Medical Center's Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) for children suffering from a life-threatening illness or injury, or who require intensive care to recover after major surgery. Our specialists work collaboratively with advanced practice nurses, respiratory therapists, dietitians and social workers to provide the best care possible.
We deliver the latest respiratory, circulatory and neurological management techniques to critically ill children, serving nearly 1,000 patients in the PICU.
SLUCare critical care pediatricians respond to life-threatening emergencies throughout Cardinal Glennon, as well as lead the hospital's medical response team. We also provide sedation services for routine outpatient and inpatient procedures for some 1,200 patients a year.
