PASE - About Us
Practical Anatomy & Surgical Education has been providing continuing medical education to health care professionals for more than 25 years.
Carrying on a tradition of continuing education that dates back to the founding of the American Association of Anatomists in St. Louis in 1888, our hands-on surgical workshops started in 1984.
Our first conference, a workshop on microsurgery at the base of the brain, was a tremendous success and demonstrated that pairing a world-renowned faculty with proper teaching environment could result in an outstanding practical hands-on learning experience for health care professionals.
Today, Practical Anatomy and Surgical Education is a section of Saint Louis University's School of Medicine's Center for Anatomical Science & Education.
PASE's operations are supported through tuition for our surgical training workshops, facility rental fees, and the Partners for the Advancement of Surgical Education, a nonprofit organization that supports our community education program, Adventures in Medicine and Science.
