The President's Executive Staff is the University's senior leadership team. It consists of SLU's vice presidents and the dean of the Madrid Campus. Members are listed below.
Philip Alderson, M.D., Vice President for Medical Affairs
Alderson oversees SLUCare, SLU's physician practice, as well as the Albert Gnaegi Center for Health Care Ethics, the Center for Advanced Dental Education and the Center for Outcomes Research (SLUCOR). He is also dean of the School of Medicine.
Kathleen Brady, Vice President for Facilities Management and Civic Affairs
Brady oversees SLU's design and construction, facilities management, grounds, and housekeeping, as well as mail, distribution and transportation services.
Bridget Fletcher, Vice President and Chief of Staff
Fletcher oversees all operations of the Office of the President and serves as the president's chief liaison on all University matters, including trustee relations. She also supervises SLU's museums and galleries.
Jeff Fowler, Vice President for University Advancement
Fowler manages fundraising, alumni relations, community relations, marketing and communications and event services.
Jay Goff, Vice President for Enrollment and Retention Management
Goff oversees undergraduate and graduate admission, student financial services, student educational services, international services, and the office of the registrar.
Patty Haberberger, Interim Vice President for Human Resources
Haberberger is responsible for a number of HR-related areas, including benefits, compensation, diversity and affirmative action, employee development and training, and payroll.
David Hakanson, Vice President and Chief Information Officer
Hakanson leads the information technology division, which includes academic and research technology services as well as IT security services.
Ellen Harshman, Ph.D., J.D., Interim Vice President for Academic Affairs
Harshman reports directly to the president for matters related to faculty teaching, research and service. The deans of the University's colleges and schools report her, as do the following units: enrollment and retention management, academic services, the Madrid Campus, University libraries, and the office of research.
David Heimburger, Vice President and Chief Financial Officer
Heimburger manages a number of departments and areas, including audit services, budget and planning, parking and card services, procurement, real estate, risk management, treasury and investments. The chief information officer and the vice president for human resources also report to him.
Kent Porterfield, Ed.D., Vice President for Student Development
Porterfield oversees athletics, campus recreation, career services, community service, dining services, housing and residence life, pre-major advising, student conduct and student life programs.
Paul Stark, S.J., Vice President for Mission and Ministry
Stark is charged with upholding SLU's mission. His areas of oversight include campus ministry, pastoral care at SLU Hospital and programs that foster the Jesuit and Catholic identity of the University.
Raymond Tait, Ph.D., Vice President for Research
Tait oversees the clinical trials office, environmental health and safety, the Institutional Review Board and other areas related to research integrity, sponsored programs, and the Center for World Health and Medicine.
Paul Vita, Ph.D., Director and Dean of SLU-Madrid
Vita leads SLU-Madrid, a free-standing campus in Spain that offers both undergraduate and graduate degrees as well as study abroad programs. Vita is also the academic dean of the campus.
