Hourly Student Staff Positions
Unless it is indicated in the application materials, all student hourly staff must have Federal Work Study status that is granted by Saint Louis University's Financial Services. Federal Work Study Workers cannot accept FWS positions from multiple departments on campus. Additionally all hourly positions must be able to attend all applicable student staff training and meetings as scheduled by their supervisor.
Security Desk Worker
Desk Workers staff the front desks of our campus' residence halls and apartment complexes. They are in charge of verifying resident IDs, checking in visitors, and being on constant alert for any potential security threats to the building. They are also responsible for enforcing and following campus protocols and maintaining proper organization of building keys. Additional expectations include contacting the Resident Advisor on duty for crisis situations, facilities issues, and custodial needs and they will contact the Assistant Hall Coordinator on call for immediate desk related issues. The hourly wage begins at $7.35 per hour.

- Must be able to attend all applicable student staff training and meetings as scheduled by your supervisor.
- Must work at least 8 hours over university break periods, which include Thanksgiving, Winter, and Spring Breaks.
- Cannot exceed 15 hours of work in one week which is defined as Sunday 7:00 AM to Saturday 11:00 PM.
Hall/Apartment Office Assistant
These students assist a professional staff member in various administrative and clerical tasks within a specific community. Duties include typing, duplicating, filing, processing forms, completing inventories, and delivering materials on campus.
Housing & Residence Life Office Assistant
These students works in the Housing and Residence Life central office and answers questions from students, staff, and parents. Other duties include filing, data entry, and mailing information.
Inventory current and new furniture thought the campus housing system. Facilitate the storage, moving, assembling, & disassembling of furniture in campus housing.
