Alternate Format Course Materials
Alternate Format Course Materials (AFCM) is an academic accommodation available to students who need or prefer textbooks in alternative formats as a means of support for a clinical or medical diagnosis. AFCM may be provided in audio or electronic text options.
Students who would like to consider this accommodation must speak with Disability Services in order for it to be considered and possibly approved. If approved, the student would collaborate with the Frost Campus Testing Center Coordinator in Beracha Hall to obtain necessary materials.
The links in the box to the right include the procedures for requesting AFCM upon Disability Services approval, the AFCM Request Form required to begin the process, different AFCM formatting options available based on student need and third party resource availability, and examples of other forms given to the student during the course of the process.
