The school looks for applicants who share the school's mission "to educate the whole person, promote openness to truth, encourage respect and appreciation for human and cultural differences and diversity, foster unflagging commitment to social justice, and instill a passion for lifelong learning and personal as well as professional growth."
With this mission in mind, applicants to the School of Social Work ABA program must possess excellent academic skills, personal and professional
maturity, leadership skills and a commitment to social justice.
ADMISSION DECISIONS: Admission decisions are based upon the applicant's total application and his or her meeting the admission requirements as outlined above. Applicants who do not meet these requirements should call the Director of Recruitment and Admissions to discuss their application. When the application components are completed, applicants will receive a letter from the Director of Recruitment and Admissions, indicating the decision of the Student Affairs Committee, a group of faculty that make admission decisions. All information in the application process is confidential and is solely for use of the Director of Recruitment and Admissions and the Student Affairs Committee in its decision process.

Transfer of hours toward field practicum will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis to ensure that it meets with BACB standards. Finally, transfer courses applied to electives will be accepted if they are relevant to ABA, if the courses were taken within the last five years, and if the student received a B or better in the course.
