Urban Plunge Details
Urban Plunge Retreat
It is an opportunity for students to explore social justice issues and community service within the City of St. Louis and to reflect on their experiences in the light of their faith, civic invovlements, and/or academic path. Reflections focus on poverty and marginalization and how individuals and society often responds. As part of the retreat, students have the opportunity to participate in immersion and service projects throughout the City of St. Louis. Individual and group reflection is an integral part of the Urban Plunge experience.
The Urban Plunge incorporates the values a part of Campus Ministry's SERVE seeking Justice programs: service, social justice, community, spirituality and reflection, simplicity and sustainability, and solidarity.
The 2014 retreat will take place over Fall Break in collaboration with THE BRIDGE. Specific dates and times will be released in September, along with the applications.
