Saint Louis University has been honored by the National Weather Service with its Storm Ready University Award. SLU is the first school in the metropolitan area to have successfully completed the program.
In the past year several faculty, staff and students have become official storm spotters, aiding in the advancement of the receipt of this award.
Assistant Vice President and Director of Public Safety and Security Services Roland Corvington will accept the award on behalf of the University at an upcoming special event at Noon Wednesday, Aug. 17, in room 256 (Senate Chambers) at Busch Student Center.
The event, sponsored by the Department of Public Safety and Security Services, is open to the SLU community.
Light refreshments will be served.
