Saint Louis University will host the second annual Newman Convocation at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 9, at St. Francis Xavier College Church, 3628 Lindell Blvd.

The program will include the presidents of Fontbonne University, the Aquinas Institute of Theology, Kenrick-Glennon Seminary and Saint Louis University.
Theology faculty members and students from all four institutions also will participate. St. Louis Archbishop Robert Carlson will preside.
The gathering of local Catholic leaders and educators begins a five-year commemoration of the 50th anniversary of the Second Vatican Council.
Featured speaker Randy Rosenberg, Ph.D., the CSJ Endowed Chair in Catholic Thought at Fontbonne University, will discuss the essential background of the accomplishments of Vatican II.
The event is free and open to the public. Free parking will be available in the University parking garage located at Grand Boulevard and Laclede Avenue.
The Newman Convocation is sponsored by the Marchetti Jesuit Endowment and the Department of Theological Studies at Saint Louis University, Aquinas Institute of Theology, Fontbonne University and Kenrick-Glennon Seminary.
