The Campus Kitchen will be serving more than 600 full Thanksgiving dinners with all the trimmings to low-income families, youth and seniors throughout the St. Louis metro area, who otherwise may not have the resources to make their own Thanksgiving dinner.
Campus departments are encouraged to participate by collecting such items as:
Turkeys/turkey breasts (frozen or thawed)
Canned green beans, sweet potatoes or cranberries
Bags of potatoes
Baking materials (butter, flour, sugar, oil, pie crusts, etc.)
Drop turkeys and other donations off at the kitchen, located in Reinert Hall, anytime between 9 a.m.-6 p.m. Monday, Nov. 14, or Tuesday, Nov. 15.
Campus Kitchen can also pick up donations anywhere on campus. To arrange a time, call 314-977-3881.
Finally, departments can sign up to prepare and/or deliver meals Nov. 16-20. For a complete list of shifts, please contact the Kitchen at the information above.
