Saint Louis University's Interprofessional Education Program held their fifth semester of Poster Presentations Dec. 6 in the Allied Health Professions Building.
Student teams in the Integrated Interprofessional Practicum Experience class presented 21 poster displays describing projects that were developed in consultation with community agencies. Teams were consisted of students in athletic training, investigative medical sciences, nursing, nutrition and dietetics, occupational therapy, physical therapy and radiation therapy programs.
Participating community agencies included the American Diabetes Association; Brain Injury Association of Missouri; Catholic Charities Archdiocese of Saint Louis Midtown Center; Casa de Salud; Covenant House; East Central Missouri Chapter of the Area Health Education Center Organization; Family Care Health Centers; Joint Neighborhood Ministries; Mother to Mother; Nurses for Newborns; Our Lady's Inn; Peter and Paul Community Services; Saint Louis Area Agency on Aging; Saint Louis Public Schools; SLUCare Patient Centered Medical Home; and the South Grand Senior Ministry (SGSM) Network.
