The SLUStars Program recognizes employees who demonstrate professionalism and behavior consistent with the University's Guiding Principles and whose accomplishments further the mission of Saint Louis University. The program recognizes the exemplary service of employees of Saint Louis University throughout the year. Employees recognized as SLUStars receive acknowledgement in internal publications, and exclusive SLUStar rewards such as attendance at a recognition breakfast, a day off with pay, tickets to a University event and a SLUStar pin. Service Award Recognition: All employees will receive an anniversary email from the President celebrating each service anniversary. Employees are formally recognized for every five (5) years of service. Each month, managers will receive award packets for employees within the department celebrating an anniversary. Managers are encouraged to present the awards to recipients in departmental meeting among peers. Employees recognized for 10+ years of service will be invited to attend a breakfast ceremony. Description of the award packets for each year of service and the ceremonies are described below:
Presidential Service Awards (PSA) Ceremony recognizes staff and faculty each fiscal year with 25, 30, 35, 40, 45 and 50 plus years of service. Formal invitations will inform employees of the date of ceremony. The photographs of current employees with 25 years of service or more are displayed in DuBourg Hall, second floor.
Distinguished Service Awards (DSA) Ceremony recognizes staff and faculty each fiscal year who are celebrating 10, 15, and 20 years of service. Formal invitations will inform employees of the date of ceremony.
