SLU Welcomes Conference of Jesuit Arts and Sciences Deans
Saint Louis University’s College of Arts and Sciences hosted the Association of Jesuit Colleges and Universities Deans Conference Oct. 24 - 26. Various sessions covered topics such as SLU’s Undergraduate Core, strategies for deans in challenging academic environments, the impact of artificial intelligence on higher education and more.
The conference took place on SLU's campus and at the St. Louis Union Station Hotel. The annual meeting of Arts and Sciences deans from AJCU member schools brings together roughly 60 deans and associate deans from around the country for 48 hours each fall on the campus of one of the member institutions.
“This year’s conference was a success,” said Donna LaVoie, Ph.D., the dean of SLU’s College of Arts and Sciences. “We enjoyed hosting the event, and we look forward to further conversations with our AJCU colleagues regarding our collective mission in keeping Jesuit Catholic education a hallmark of success in the landscape of higher education.”
