Chaifetz School Welcomes One-Year MBA Class of 2023

As summer classes begin at Saint Louis University, the Chaifetz School of Business recently welcomed the One-Year MBA Class of 2023.

This year’s class represents students from three continents, with career backgrounds in industries ranging from health care and finance, to communications and engineering. Nearly half of the students in the class hold non-business degrees.

“We are incredibly excited to welcome an outstanding student cohort to the Chaifetz family,” said Barnali Gupta, Edward Jones Dean of the Chaifetz School of Business. “With the help of our dedicated faculty and staff, data-driven and experiential focused curriculum and Career Resources Center, our students will be prepared to become transformational business leaders.”

Ranked as one of the top full-time MBA programs in the country by Poets&Quants and U.S. News & World Report, the One-Year MBA program allows students to earn their MBA in 11 months. It is the only full-time, AACSB-accredited MBA program in the St. Louis region.

Previous cohorts have had the opportunity to apply data analytics skills through semester-long practicum projects with organizations like Nestle-Purina and the St. Louis Aquarium. New in 2022-23, OYMBA students will leverage data to create business intelligence through 9 month paid-consulting engagements integrated into the program.

Students complete 48 credit hours over the course of three semesters, including a short-term global business immersion experience between the fall and spring semesters. This year’s One-Year MBA cohort began on June 15.
