SLU SSM Health Physical Therapy Neurologic Residency
Together with SSM Health Physical Therapy, Saint Louis University offers a 12-month neurologic physical therapy residency with numerous opportunities for licensed physical therapists to develop as advanced clinicians; to develop as educators, to produce and disseminate scholarly products; and to grow as providers to the area's underserved populations.
Mission Statement
Our mission is that, through shared traditions of serving humanity and enhancing lives through quality healthcare, we graduate physical therapists that embody the ideals of excellence in leadership, reflection, and compassion for evidence based clinical practice in neurologic physical therapy.
Advancing Neurologic Expertise
The program advances licensed physical therapists in their neurologic knowledge, skills and abilities as described by the American Board of Physical Therapy Residency and Fellowship Education description of residency practice and the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialists’ description of specialty practice. The partnership with SSM Health Physical Therapy allows for clinical practice opportunities across the spectrum of patient care including acute inpatient and multiple outpatient settings. It involves both classroom learning and psychomotor instruction at Saint Louis University and SSM Health Physical Therapy in face-to-face, online and small-group formats.
We accept external applicants and internal applicants (including current employees of SSM Health Physical Therapy).
