A Message from the Development Office

August 2021

Dear Alumni,

The beginning of this school year feels eerily familiar, yet so much has changed. We were happy to welcome over 200 new students through our doors at Scott Hall this month. While they were all still donning masks, being together in person has been rewarding and exciting. We had no idea how much we missed seeing students, and our fellow colleagues in person.

And of course, we miss seeing our wonderful alumni in our building and at our events. In the coming weeks we hope to have more guidance on what kind of events we can and should hold. Please stay tuned.

In the meantime, I would like to welcome Kearney Luizza to the development team at the School of Law. Kearney joins us from her role as a Regional Development Officer in alumni and development. She holds a bachelor's degree from Spring Hill College in Mobile, Alabama and is currently pursuing her MBA at SLU. She will be working closely with our recent alums and will be managing the Young Alumni Society. We are very happy to have her on board.

And finally, thanks again for your continued patience and support over the past year and half. It has meant so much to our students and our community. We look forward to another successful year and wish you all continued health and success.

Sincerely,

Michael Ruiz
Director of Development
