Student Resources

The faculty and staff of the Vincent C. Immel Law Library are here to help SLU LAW students succeed.

We welcome the opportunity to assist you with individual research, assignment assistance, study aids, study space and more.

Study Space

With more than 450 seats, each student will find their ideal study spot in the Law Library. The fifth floor of the library is a quiet area, catering to students who prefer silent study. The sixth floor is available for group study and other conversations. There are eight public computer stations, and like the rest of the building, there is wireless internet and outlet access throughout.

Research Assistance

The Reference Desk is staffed six days a week when classes are in session. Reference librarians are able to assist you with research help in person, by phone at (314) 977-1447, and over email at lawref@slu.edu. You can also schedule an individual appointment with a law librarian for in-depth assistance.

Locating and Borrowing Materials

The Circulation Desk staff are able to assist with locating materials, course reserves, and interlibrary loan. In addition to the Vincent C. Immel Law Library, SLU LAW students also have access to the Law Library Association of Saint Louis. LLASTL is a membership law library, housed on the 13th floor of the Civil Courthouse.
