Dean Emeritus Michael Wolff Honored as an Influential Appellate Attorney
Michael Wolff, dean and professor emeritus, was honored as an Influential Appellate Attorney for the 2025 Missouri Lawyer Awards.
He was among a group of attorneys who led legal challenges to Missouri’s recent legislation stiffening redaction rules for court documents. His recent reform work also includes a focus on the “points relied on” rule which Wolff feels makes an appellate attorney jump through hoops that could get an otherwise worthy case dismissed on a technicality.
The Missouri Lawyer Awards is an annual event held by Missouri Lawyers Media that recognizes lawyers who made an impact in the year just completed, including winners of top verdicts, influential appellate advocates and champions, law firm leaders, and the lawyer of the year. This year’s event was held on February 13 at the Missouri Athletic Club.
