Study Abroad at SLU-Madrid

Discover Spain while earning credits toward your university degree from Saint Louis University.

Students on study abroad trip.

We provide students in every discipline — business, engineering, health sciences and more — the opportunity to study abroad. SLU-Madrid has served as a study abroad destination for students across the U.S. and around the world since the 1960s.

Study abroad during the summer, for a semester or for the entire academic year. Each semester you can choose from more than 200 courses, taught in English or Spanish, and nearly 50 during the summer sessions.

Upcoming course offerings

SLU-Madrid also welcomes faculty-led programs from other universities and colleges. These visiting faculty members teach one or two courses to their student groups, and the students complete their schedules by enrolling in courses offered by SLU-Madrid. For more about faculty-led groups, contact admissions-madrid@slu.edu.

SLU-Madrid is officially recognized by higher education authorities in Spain and accrediting bodies in the United States. Our AACSB accreditation in business and ABET accreditation in engineering ensure that courses taught in Spain meet the same standards of academic rigor and excellence as those in the U.S.

Complete course descriptions, along with syllabi, are available online for students to review with their advisers prior to coming to Madrid. For information about specific semester offerings, contact studyabroad-madrid@slu.edu.
