These students will begin their academic journeys in academic English, Pathway programs and direct-entry undergraduate and graduate programs next week.

Throughout international orientation, students engage in highly participatory, interactive and immersive activities to introduce and connect them with Saint Louis University, the St. Louis community and U.S. culture. Additionally, students complete their immigration check-in, meet with academic advisers, explore campus, learn about the resources that SLU has to offer, and take part in fun evening activities.

International student orientation is structured to prepare students for the upcoming academic year and empower them to have an immersive experience at Saint Louis University.

The international ambassadors play an integral role assisting international students in their transition to life in the U.S. and at SLU. The ambassadors begin connecting with SLU’s international students by greeting them at the airport and continuing to offer support throughout orientation activities. The international ambassadors remain a vital resource in assuring that integration and acculturation efforts continue beyond orientation through both formal and informal programming and events.
