SLU Giving Day Launches
11/14/2017
The Office of Alumni and Donor Engagement invites the SLU family – faculty, staff, students and alumni – to take part in a special event on Thursday, Nov. 16: SLU Giving Day, the University’s first 24-hour giving initiative.
The creative fundraising effort, which runs from midnight to midnight on Thursday, is designed to benefit a variety of fundraising efforts across the University.
The day will feature special fundraising challenges that unlock additional funds when certain dollar amounts or donor participation goals are met. Many challenges are school-specific, with the funds raised benefiting the dean’s priorities. For example, Christopher Duncan, Ph.D., dean of the College of Arts and Sciences, has pledged to give $1,818 once 50 gifts have been made to Arts and Sciences, while staff members Pete and Debbie Dill Garvin have made a similar pledge when 50 gifts have been made to SLU’s Helping Our Own Fund.
Gifts of any size are encouraged.
