Saint Louis University and the Urban League of Metropolitan St. Louis, in partnership with Ameren Missouri will host its sixth annual memorial tribute honoring the life and legacy of the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Friday, Jan. 12, in the Wool Ballroom of SLU's Busch Student Center, 20 N. He later served as Mayor of Atlanta, bringing jobs and $70 billion in private investment to the city during a recession. His leadership, vision and global reputation were instrumental in bringing the Centennial Olympic Games to Atlanta in 1996.
In addition to Ambassador Young, Xernona Clayton, founder of the Trumpet Awards, National Urban League President Marc H. Morial and television personality Judge Glenda Hatchett will also receive Lifetime Achievement Awards and bring remarks at the event.
