SLU Signs Letter of Intent with Food Service Provider Sodexo
06/11/2018
Beginning Aug. 1, Saint Louis University will have a new food service provider.
The University has signed a letter of intent with Sodexo to provide food service and
catering for SLU, replacing Aramark, which has provided food service since 2014.
SLU and Sodexo are working to ensure that the transition is handled seamlessly for
all campus dining, including both dining and catering services.
Sodexo has agreed to retain all hourly employees working in campus dining and catering, and the company will interview supervisory and managerial staff for consideration for continued employment. Current Aramark employees can expect a mailing from Sodexo in the near future with more information.
In terms of campus dining options this fall, students, faculty and staff will not
notice many changes as Sodexo will continue to provide the same offerings that have
been available at current locations. Meal plans and Flex Dollars also are not expected
to change.
Sodexo is a leading provider of integrated food, facilities management and other services
that enhance organizational performance and improve the quality of life daily in North
America, employing 133,000 people at 13,000 sites in all 50 U.S. states and Canada.
