Saint Louis University ranks as the top university in Missouri for job placement, with 93.48 percent of alumni employed, according to Zippia, a career resources website.
“One of the biggest things that incoming college freshmen consider when they’re thinking of what school to attend is the likelihood that a school will improve their job prospects,” Zippia noted in producing its list.
Zippia used data gathered by the National Center of Education Statistics and U.S. Department of Education as a starting point for its research. It searched the colleges in each state with the highest listed job placement ratings. It analyzed 46 public and non-profit, four-year institutions of higher education in Missouri, specifically looked at employment levels 10 years after graduation.
Since last summer, SLU has topped other lists that speak to its quality, commitment to affordability and student dedication to community service.
- SLU’s School of Nursing topped the list of best nursing programs in the state, for career placements, quality of its educational program and overall university performance.
- SLU’s 2017 graduates were noted as carrying the lowest level of student loan debt in the state.
- SLU ranked number one in the country as most engaged in service to the community.
