World Wide Technology will present the Ninth Annual Cybersecurity Symposium “Generation to Innovation” Wednesday, April 3, at Chaifetz Arena on the Saint Louis University campus. 

The Symposium is intended to bring the cybersecurity industry together through networking and discussion that includes keynote speakers, breakout sessions and a panel discussion on the future of cybersecurity and the role it plays in our world.

 In addition to the keynotes, the symposium at Chaifetz Arena will include an introductory message from Saint Louis University President Fred P. Pestello, Ph.D., four breakout sessions about the future of cybersecurity along with a panel discussion about opportunities in career advancement in the cyber profession. SLU photo

The one-day event will feature keynote speakers Mike McGlynn, Vice President of Security Solutions at World Wide Technology, as well as Dr. Annette Sobel, a former Major General in the Arizona National Guard and senior advisor for geospatial matters at SLU. 

In addition to the keynotes, the Symposium will include an introductory message from Saint Louis University President Fred P. Pestello, Ph.D., four breakout sessions about the future of Cybersecurity along with a panel discussion about opportunities in career advancement in the cyber profession.

“Cybersecurity is an ever-evolving field that touches every department within an organization,” said Tracy Chapman, Ph.D., dean of SLU’s School for Professional Studies. “Hacks and data breaches in our technologically-advanced world are real concerns and becoming more and more common. Professionals in the field must continually update their knowledge and skills to remain effective, and the Saint Louis University Cybersecurity Symposium provides an opportunity for professionals to keep up-to-date, learn about the latest trends, network with colleagues and understand the changing landscape in which they work.”
