Celebrate 'Christmas on the Quad'
To welcome the holiday season, Saint Louis University will host “Christmas on the Quad,” beginning at 5 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 7, and the entire SLU community is invited to celebrate.
The seasonal celebrations continues in a familiar fashion with a radiant Nativity scene, food trucks serving delicious meals and, of course, the dynamic duo of Santa and Mrs. Claus.
The Christmas happening begins on SLU’s Quad at 5 p.m. as it transforms into a winter wonderland complete with The Bubble Bus, fire pits, s’mores stations, face painting, crafts and carolers.
Guests will have the opportunity to take photos with the cheerful couple and partake in Christmas traditions such as eating cookies and sipping hot chocolate.
Mrs. Claus will continue the tradition of reading the beloved poem ,“Twas the Night Before Christmas,” in the historic Samuel Cupples House Museum.
The event is free although there is a charge for some activities and for dinner. Registration to attend is also available here.
The event will also play host to a toy drive and donations can be dropped off at event check-in stations near the campus gateway at Grand Boulevard and West Pine Avenue.
