In-person registration is now open for the annual Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial Tribute, scheduled for Wednesday, Jan. 11, 2022, and hosted by Saint Louis University and the Urban League of Metropolitan St. Louis.
The event, featuring speaker Sybrina Fulton, will be live-streamed on Saint Louis University's website. A fire-side chat with Fulton, mother of Trayvon Martin, will occur. The breakfast will start at 8 a.m. and the tribute will begin at 9 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 11. In-person attendance at the event is open and there will be a livestream for the public.
Sybrina Fulton is dedicating her life to transforming family tragedy into social change. Since the death of her 17 year old son, Trayvon Martin, during the violent confrontation in 2012, Fulton has become an inspiring spokesperson for parents and concerned citizens across the country. Her book co-authored with Tracy Martin, Rest in Power: The Enduring Life of Trayvon Martin, shares the intimate story of a tragically foreshortened life and the rise of a movement that awoke a nation’s conscience.
