Saint Louis University Marks Black History Month

In honor of Black History Month, the Saint Louis University community will host a series of events throughout February celebrating Black culture and achievements.

This year’s programming is hosted in collaboration with African Students Association, Black Student Alliance, Black Alumni Association, Cross Cultural Center for Global Citizenship (CCCGC) and the Division of Diversity and Innovative Community Engagement (DICE).

2023 Black History Month Gala

The CCCGC will host the 2023 Black History Month Gala: A Night of Black Excellence on Friday, Feb. 24. SLU community members interested in attending the celebration of the University's Black students, staff and faculty are invited to register online by Friday, Feb. 10. To nominate an individual for recognition at this year's award ceremony, submit a nomination form by Monday, Feb. 6.

Black in STEM Celebration and Awards Ceremony

On Friday, March 3, the inaugural Black in STEM Celebration and Awards Ceremony will take place in the Center for Global Citizenship. The event, hosted by DICE, seeks to uplift the entire SLU community by celebrating the unique experiences and contributions of Black STEM professionals. Nominations may be submitted through Friday, Feb. 17, at 5 p.m.
