Campus Kitchen to Sponsor Annual TurkeyPalooza
The SLU Campus Kitchen is collecting for the annual food drive to bring Thanksgiving meals to hundreds of hungry clients.
On Nov. 16-17, the Kitchen will be collecting holiday food items including turkeys and all the fixings. Faculty, staff and students are encouraged to donate.
Campus Kitchen will accept any and all food, but especially turkeys (whole or breasts), cranberry sauce, rolls, canned sweet potatoes, refrigerated pie crust, evaporated milk, white potatoes, gravy (jar or packet), stuffing, fresh celery, fresh onions, chicken stock, canned green beans, cream of mushroom soup, milk, flour, oil, salt, pepper, poultry seasonings, pumpkin pie spice, white sugar, brown sugar, rice, foil, zip lock bags, clean plastic grocery bags, foil turkey pans, muffin cups and butter.
Items can be dropped off between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. during the week of Nov. 16-17, at the kitchen in Reinert Hall, or CK volunteers can arrange to collect items at an on-campus location. Call 314-977-3881 or email ckslu@campuskitchens.org to arrange a pick-up.
