Xavier Winter Inn Volunteers Needed

Every winter, St. Francis Xavier College Church hosts a Winter Inn, offering emergency shelter to homeless men on Wednesday and Thursday nights from December through February. 

The Winter Inn is run entirely by volunteers and provides individuals with a warm bed, hot meal and hospitality on nights when temperatures drop below 20 degrees.

Xavier Winter Inn 2016-17 is in need of plenty of volunteers to ensure that the shelter runs smoothly. Volunteer positions include:

• Set-up
• Greeters/hosts
• Innkeepers
• Cleaners
• Dinner cooks
• Laundry drivers

All new volunteers must sign up for one training either from 6:30 to 8 p.m., Thursday, Nov. 10, or from 10:30 a.m. to noon, Saturday, Nov. 19.
