Office of Admission Seeks Overnight Hosts
The Office of Admission is seeking volunteers to serve as overnight hosts on Sunday, Sept. 18, for high school students visiting campus to learn more about Saint Louis University. Part of their visit will be experiencing campus life staying overnight in a residence hall with a current student.
This year, the Office of Admission will have a new visit experience called “Perspectives.” This will allow for prospective students from diverse cultural, religious and socio-economic backgrounds that are traditionally underrepresented on college campuses to experience SLU and meet current students, faculty and staff.
The overnight visit will take place Sept. 18-19. Highlights of the “Perspectives” program will include the Infinite Scholars Fair, activities with the Cross-Cultural Center, a financial aid and admission presentation and a campus tour, in addition to the stay in a residence hall.
Approximately 50 to 75 students are expected to attend, and volunteers are needed to help host. Hosts will receive dinner Sunday evening.
