Women’s Commission Seeks Nominees for YWCA Leaders in the Workplace
Since 1984, the YWCA has recognized the commitment and contributions of working women from the St. Louis area at an event called “Leaders in the Workplace.” Saint Louis University recognizes its own women of achievement by participating in this event.
This year’s lunch will be held Tuesday, Dec. 13.
SLU will participate in the program by selecting eight women across the University
from faculty and staff nominations, to acknowledge how they have contributed to the
growth and enrichment of both the University and the greater metropolitan community.
Members of the SLU community who would like to nominate an employee should compose
a nomination letter and include the following information about their nominee:
- Outstanding work performance
- Special talents
- Leadership qualities
- Outside activities
- Service to others
- Other notable qualities
The nominee should be someone who has been employed at the University at least three
years. Women who have been previously selected for this honor are not eligible.
The SLU Leaders in the Workplace honorees will be recognized by the Women’s Commission
newsletter, website, Newslink and Grand Connections following the luncheon.
Completed nominations should be submitted to Kellisa Lyn Fiala, Women’s Commission
awards chair, no later than Monday, Oct. 10.
Nominations may be submitted electronically here or by inter-office mail c/o Kellisa Fiala, Women's Commission awards chair, 203 Tegeler
