New Self-Help Portal Available for ITS Issues
08/18/2017
Information and Technology Services (ITS) has launched a new self-help portal for SLU faculty, staff and students who need help with technology issues.
The portal is designed to provide easy access to three common ITS service areas:
- Help Articles/Knowledge Base - Users will be able to access and search technology self-help "how-tos" developed specifically for the SLU community, including instructions for re-setting passwords and how to access free software for computers.
- Create a Care/Report an Issue - This will allow users to report problems including being unable to access an account or issues with classroom equipment.
- Submit a Service Request - SLU users will be able to submit requests for guest accounts, T/U drive requests, clinical, database and other types of requests generally submitted via the MySLU "IT Service Request" portal in the past.
Users will also be able to use ITS' new Live Chat feature to instantly connect to a technician for troubleshooting needs.
For situations that do not require immediate help, an email support feature beyond chat or phone support is available. The email feature is designed to provide a reply within a four-business hour window.
Requests, including password resets and technology support issues, can still be made by calling 314-977-4000. For classroom technology emergencies, call 314-977-4099.
