December Security Patches Available

December’s security patches are now available for all University PC users. The patches were sent out on Monday, Dec. 18, and will automatically install on Friday, Dec. 22.

Users who would like to install the updates for themselves can find step-by-step instructions on the Information and Technology Services (ITS) website. Updates must be applied before 4 a.m. on Friday, Dec. 22, otherwise, ITS will install them for everyone at that time.

Security and application updates help protect PCs from vulnerabilities and are an important way to guard against viruses.

Updates do not apply until the computer is rebooted, so customers should restart their computer on Friday. ITS recommends restart computers a few times a week.
