Three SLU Dermatology Psoriasis Treatment Studies for Kids and Adults Now Enrolling
A study comparing two FDA approved injectable medications in adults with psoriasis, as well as two studies for children with psoriasis ages 6-12 evaluating FDA approved topical or injectable medications are enrolling participants.
Study 1: Adults
Yadira Hurley, D.O., is recruiting persons with moderate to severe plaque psoriasis for a research study to evaluate and compare the effectiveness of two FDA approved injectable medications for the treatment of psoriasis.
You may be eligible if you:
- Are 18 years of age or older in good general health
- Have moderate to severe plaque psoriasis
- Meet the physician evaluated and laboratory criteria for treatment
- Agree to complete all study required visits and to prevent pregnancy for the length of the study
The study will last up to 56 weeks and will include multiple visits to the study site. Eligible participants, if enrolled, may receive the following:
- Study treatment
- Laboratory testing
- Research related exams
- Compensation for time and travel

Study 2: Children
The Department of Dermatology is looking for children who are at least 2 to 11 years of age with psoriasis to participate in a 13-week study of an investigational medication for psoriasis.
- Qualified participants will receive:
- Study related medical evaluations by a dermatologist
- Study related medications
- Compensation for time and travel

Study 3: Children
Doctors at Saint Louis University at SSM Health Cardinal Glennon Children’s Hospital are conducting a clinical research study of children with moderate-to-severe plaque psoriasis. The CADMUS Jr. clinical research study will examine the safety and effectiveness of an investigational medication in children with this skin condition.
The study will enroll patients who:
- Are 6 to 11 years of age
- Have a diagnosis of plaque psoriasis for at least 6 months
Additional criteria apply and will be assessed at the screening visit.
