Participants Sought for Joint Research Study
Researchers are seeking research subjects for a study titled "Argument Creation and Institutional Actors."
The purpose of this study is to assess how individuals create arguments in favor of a position. The study calls for students at Saint Louis University who are pursuing an undergraduate degree.
Participants will be asked to write arguments in response to a scenario and answer questions related to the scenario and about themselves. It is anticipated that participation in the study will take approximately 45 minutes.
The study will take place:
- From 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday, Feb. 13, to Wednesday, Feb. 15, in room 236 of Busch Student Center.
- From 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 16, to Friday, Feb. 17, in room 406 DuBourg Hall.
Participants will be compensated with $10 Amazon gift cards for participating in the study.
The study is led by Molly J.W. Wilson, J.D., professor of law; Morgan L.W. Hazelton, Ph.D., assistant professor of political science; and Chryl N. Laird, Ph.D., assistant professor of political science and African American studies.
