Commencement Speaker Applications Sought

Again this year, Saint Louis University’s main commencement ceremony will feature a student speaker.

Students interested in applying for this honor should view the guidelines here and must submit their materials to Sue Chawszczewski, Ph.D., director of campus ministry, by Friday, Feb. 3. 

Applicants must meet certain criteria and the speech should highlight the SLU experience. Ideally, it will include reflections on the mission and values of SLU, especially as a Jesuit institution, and how such values have affected the student as a whole person — mind, body and spirit.

Finalists will be asked to deliver the speech to a selection committee.
