Annual Pretzel, Custard Sale to Benefit 'Helping Our Own'

Helping Our Own, SLU’s employee emergency assistance program, is accepting orders for its annual sale of Gus’s Pretzels and Ted Drewes frozen custards. Sales benefit the program, which provides one-time, emergency monetary grants to permanent, full-time or part-time employees experiencing unexpected financial crises.

The program is also funded by the generosity of University employee payroll pledges, gifts and fundraisers like the sale.

Frozen custard cups will come in chocolate, strawberry and vanilla and sell for $3 each. Pretzels will be sold for $1 each.

Pre-sale orders are strongly encouraged and are due June 14 at noon. These orders can be sent to zimmercm@slu.edu. The sales location for pick-up of the order must be included at the time the order is placed.

Pretzels and custard cups will also be on sale June 21 at sites throughout SLU’s campus from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. or while supplies last.
