Community Service Center Gears Up for School Supply Drive

The Center for Service and Community Engagement’s annual drive for school supplies to benefit KidSmart, Inc., SLU-sponsored charter schools and students in the St. Louis Public Schools kicks off July 10. The drive runs until Aug. 4.

Departments and divisions can take part by requesting a bin for a location of their choosing. Departments should register by July 6. A list of donation drop-off bins will be published shortly.

This year, there are special requests for pencils, backpacks, colored pencils and notebooks. Monetary donations are also accepted. Checks can be made payable to Saint Louis University.

Last year, the SLU community contributed over 12,000 items to local schools, the most of any college or university in the St. Louis metro area.
