On March 15, the School for Professional Studies and Workforce Center at SLU held its eighth annual Cyber Security Symposium that drew nearly 400 attendees from more than 110 different companies.
The event featured keynote speaker, Colonel Brandon H. Pearce, Chief Information Security Officer of the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA) as well as industry experts from organizations including World Wide Technology, AT&T, SpearTip and the U.S. Army.
Some of the topics that were discussed covered radio-frequency identification (RFID) hacking, the dark web, what to do when your app is hacked and cyber security threats. There was even a live hacking simulation.
SLU would like to thank all of the event sponsors: World Wide Technology, Edward Jones, Service Now, St. Louis Cardinals, SpearTip, RSA, Netsurion, AT&T and Bandura Systems. Without them, this event would not be possible.
