Jeremy Huelsing Named Chaifetz Arena General Manager

Spectra by Comcast Spectacor, the provider of venue management for Saint Louis University’s Chaifetz Arena, has promoted Jeremy Huelsing to general manager. Huelsing, who most recently served as the venue’s assistant general manager, will now be responsible for supervision and oversight of the facility to ensure seamless operations while creating memorable experiences for all clients. He will work at the direction of Saint Louis University, which holds Spectra’s contract.

He replaces Jim Wynkoop, whom Spectra promoted to general manager of Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City, N.J.

“Jeremy will be an outstanding leader to the Chaifetz Arena team,” said Jeff Hovey, SLU’s Senior Director of Business Services “With his experience in the building and industry, we are confident our facility will continue to have great success.  We look forward to continuing our relationship with him.”

“Jeremy brings a high-level of professionalism and experience to lead our team in St. Louis,” said Spectra’s regional vice president Pam Plageman. “He will work closely with Saint Louis University in leading our team’s efforts in maximizing opportunities for Chaifetz Arena.”

Huelsing joined the Spectra team at the Chaifetz Arena during the inaugural season in 2008. In 2012 he moved to the Glens Falls Civic Center in Glens Falls, New York as the director of finance before taking over as in 2013. Huelsing returned to St. Louis in 2015 as assistant general manager of Chaifetz Arena. He also assisted Spectra as a Regional Finance Director for the Central Division.

Huelsing was awarded the Joseph A. Floreano Scholarship for the Arena Management Conference in 2015. The scholarship recognizes deserving individuals who demonstrate leadership, character, community involvement, and the potential to be future leaders in the venue management industry.

Huelsing worked in tandem with the St. Louis Sports Commission to host the 2016 Women's P&G Championships and Men's Olympic Trials. In addition, through the partnership with the St. Louis Sports Commission, the arena hosted the NCAA Division 2 Wrestling Championships in 2015, and landed the 2017 and 2018 NCAA Women's Gymnastics Championships.
