SLU ID Cards Getting New Look This Summer

A new look for Saint Louis University ID cards, selected by student votes, will begin appearing on cards this summer as incoming students receive cards during their SLU 101 visit in June.

SLU’s Division of Marketing and Communications created three design choices for students to vote on in an online survey.  Of 4,280 votes, the new design was the favorite with 53 percent of the student votes. 

The new design won 53 percent of SLU students' votes. Students will receive the vertical version of the new ID badge (above) while faculty and staff will receive horizontal versions.

Current students, faculty and staff can continue to use their current ID card. There will be a gradual transition to the new design as ID cards are issued, renewed or replaced as opposed to re-carding the campus community. 

Please note that the old style SLU ID card is still valid and that the technology within the cards remains the same. This summer’s change is purely visual.

Students will use the vertically designed card. A horizontal version of this design will be used for faculty and staff.
